Man Shot in the Face During Early Morning Attack

According to an article from the Knoxville News Sentinel, Matthew Grimm (19) was arrested and charged with Attempted Second Degree Murder.

Grimm allegedly shot Jason Hall in the face Saturday morning around 4 a.m on Jerry Hollow Road.

Hall suffered serious injuries from the shooting, and he underwent emergency surgery following the incident. Hall has been listed as being in stable condition.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are unknown at this time. According to KNS,
Grimm was listed as “homeless” in a public record document.

Grimm is being held in the Union county Jail on a $200,000 bond.

 

——UPDATE: Union County Sheriff’s Department press release – “On 11/17/2018, at approximately 4:00 a.m., the Union County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a shooting that occurred along Jerry Hollow Road. The victim had been shot in the face and was in the process of attempting to drive himself for treatment when paramedics located him. He was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

During the course of the investigation, Matthew Logan Grimm (DOB 6/29/99) was determined to be the individual responsible for the crime. Grimm has been charged with Attempted Second Degree Murder and is being held in the Union County Jail on a $200,000 bond.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation assisted in the investigation. No further information is available at this time.”
